So here are my answers...


When did you start collecting dolls? 2004/2005

What was your first purchase as a collector? A integrity doll that was repainted. I thought she was amazing looking. I had never seen repainted dolls before her.

How many dolls do you own? I think I own about 200-250

What is your favorite doll and why? My favorite doll would have to be my travel doll Arabella. I take her on all types of adventures and my mother and I have bonded doing this as she takes her travel doll Endora around too.

What doll or dolls are not your favorites and why? The bratz dolls. I don't like them because their shoes are their feet. So as a child if they loose one you don't even have a whole doll.

What is the biggest challenge about collecting dolls? Having enough space for everything I want.

How do you display or store your dolls? I use bookshelves to display my dolls and I use plastic totes for the clothes and accessories.

Have you ever been to a doll show? Yes one time and I LOVED it!!!

When you travel, do you look for dolls? Yes I do and if I am not looking for dolls I am looking for stuff that I can use for the dolls.

What is your latest purchase? Mini Lalaloopsy dolls. They are the cutest!!!!

What doll is on your wish list now? Monster High Gill. He seems to be the hardest to fine

What do you wish you didn’t purchase? I am pretty happy with all the dolls I have purchased and if I fall out of love with one I just sell it or trade it for something else.

What is your favorite doll related item? I like almost anything barbie

How often do you photo your dolls and what doll is the most photographed
and/or photogenic? I probably photo my dolls about once a month or more if I have the time. My rerooted stardoll Liane is the most photogenic.

Do you talk to other collectors in person or just on the web? I talk to other collectors on the phone and over the web. I have met some in person but I don't talk to them on a daily bases.

If you had the chance to speak to Mattel or other toy makers, what
would you say? Good job!!! But please improve the doll's hair and keep making more dolls with articulation and make more dolls with different skin-tones and please make some more MEN dolls.

What doll do you wish would be reissued?  The happy family dolls. I loved the Grandparents and the families!!! I don't think that line should have been discontinued.

Another update

Hello all,

I have been soooooooooooooo slow at getting back to the update that I posted a while ago. Well anyway it has been a great couple of months doll wise. I have gotten a few great things in and I will be posting photos of more it the stuff soon. I promise but for now in my last post I said that Ava arrived and she was getting settled. Well she is very settled in now and agreed to pose for a few pics for all of you.

I am sure you all recognize her. She was made by Cat from A Doll Affinity. I gave her a new fashionista body with the great knees that I love. She is just relaxing on her new sofa. Vanessa from Vans Doll Treasures posted a while back about taking her mini self shopping and finding these great infusers that had a great box that doubled as a couch. Well I was able to find one a few days ago. I love it!!! The blue vase came with it. I know my flowers are a bit high they need to be trimmed now but I just grabbed them and quickly snapped some pics.

I know the pillow does not go well but it's the only one I had here so I placed it there to check out sizes for throw pillows. I will make some for this sofa soon.

Ava said Haven eat your heart out. I wonder what this is about? She sure is holding a grudge or something.

Back to the couch. Well I like it.

 Liane stopped by to say hello. Does she look different? The last time you saw her she had red streaks in her hair and now she is beautiful!!! She got back from her trip to Cat's spa for a new hair make over.

 Ava: Hello Liane you look great!!!

Liane: Thanks so do you. I am happy to be home. I have so much work to do. 

Ava: Girl don't you ever think about anything besides work?

 

Liane: Very funny, my job is very important to me. 

Ava: I know and I understand but just don't let it take over your life. By the way how is Victor? I am not surprised he gave you time off. He probably wanted to get rid of you for a while. 

Liane: Victor is a great boss. As for how he is you should know considering what I heard.

Ava: And what was that?

Liane: That he was in your bed.

Ava: No comment....
